patrick: all working with magn gps antenna and new squidbees, works new gps antenna, no good. small gps antenna brick "should be kept in a plastic box"???? are there specs for the gain?

  • buy 5 magn antennas and dismantle one or two

amanda: steve pink says ham/call already there.

max: ---new fins, foam stage

   easier to build, bolts to lip
   think about logginess of this fin
   nice float weight
   try in pool, if good, max to direct fab, ellen/ha in our shop
  • order electrostatic foam (casey)

---airport: springfield no access; rutland***

peter, stephanie:

discussion with jason stauth (thayer) who does solar panel control circuits. figure out: --what type of battery (now low voltage, so have to stack in series, and can store too much energy. find one closer to voltage needed (9V to be used) --how many panels needed --then return to jason --figure out "period"

leo, 89deg, 89 min, 18 orbits per day, plan for every 4th orbit; longest passover 6 minutes, typically 2-3 minutes

data collection power use should instr/bus/dnt comms, wihtout strong ratio for ground dump. (***max to find sband cube example)

squidbee at 9V is 250mA for xbee; for dnt probably 500mA.

abstract discussion re charge controller circuit choices. will return to detailed discussion given above. --diodes, circuits details

meantime layout for existing dave panel

store power 6 hours, 3 hrs of which is sunlit;

  • steph/peter play with STK with max

CODE:

--data files for tom to play with (patrick to thomas) --realtime (C) vs archived (matlab) (patrick/tim for realtime)

archive: --overlap jon's river with matlab plotter

--dnt/xbee network: these are not a mesh network. we can have a tree network: each radio can specify who it communicates with. can listen/talk to several, but can't change who it talks with.

5:30s on wednesdays.

750 bytes per sec? total intake of receiver;

  • try highest baud rate setting and see when

you start losing data.

storage and dump
